Personal data

It is possible to use our website without providing personal data.

Different rules may however apply for the use of individual services on our site. These are explained separately below.

Your personal data (e.g. name, address, telephone number) is processed by us solely in accordance with the provisions of German data protection legislation.

Data is only regarded as personal data if it can be uniquely attributed to a specific natural person. You can find the legal basis for data protection in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

Use of cookies

On our site, cookies are used to recognise if the same user uses our offering on several occasions.

Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain any viruses.

They are small text files that your Internet browser stores and saves on your computer. They serve the sole purpose of optimising our Internet presence and offering. They are generally session cookies, which are deleted again at the end of your visit.

Sometimes, however, these cookies provide information so that you are recognised automatically at a later date. This recognition is based on the IP address saved in the cookies. The information obtained in this way is used to improve our offering and make it easier for you to access our site.

Standard browsers offer setting options to prevent cookies from being accepted.

Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps to display interactive maps and to generate travel directions. Google Maps is a map service provided by Google. By using Google Maps, information about the use of this website, including your IP address and the (start) address that you enter for the route planner function, is transferred to Google in the USA.

When you access one of our websites that contains Google Maps, your browser establishes a direct connection with Google's servers. The map content is transmitted directly to your browser and integrated into the website by Google. We therefore have no influence on the scope of the data collected by Google in this way. To our knowledge, this concerns at least the following data: date and time of the visit to the website concerned, Internet address or URL of the accessed website, IP address, (start) address entered for route planning.

We do not have any influence on how Google subsequently processes and uses the data and cannot therefore accept any responsibility for this.

If you do not want Google to collect, process or use any data about you via our Internet presence, you can deactivate JavaScript in your browser settings. In such cases, however, you will not be able to use the map display.

Please refer to Google's privacy policies for information on the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Google as well as your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy.

The use of Google Maps and the information obtained via Google Maps takes place in line with the Google Terms of Service

https://policies.google.com/terms?hl=en&gl=en

and the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service

https://www.google.com/intl/en_en/help/terms_maps.html.

Google Ajax and jQuery libraries

Ajax and jQuery libraries are used on this website. This involves specific program libraries being accessed by Google servers. The Google content delivery network (CDN) is used. If you have previously used jQuery on another Google CDN site, your browser will access the copy stored in the cache. If this is not the right one, you will need to download the library, meaning that data will be sent from your browser to Google. Your data is transferred to the USA.

Server log files

The website operator or provider collects data regarding access to the site and saves this as server log files. The following data is logged in this way:

  • Website visited
  • Time of access
  • Volume of data sent in bytes
  • Source/link from which you came to the site
  • Browser used
  • Operating system used
  • IP address used in anonymised form

The data collected is used solely to carry out statistical evaluations and to improve the website. However, the website operator reserves the right to check the server log files at a later date should there be concrete evidence to suggest unlawful use.

Access/objection/erasure

Should you have any questions regarding the collection, processing or use of your personal data and, if applicable, its erasure, you may contact us free of charge in line with the German Federal Data Protection Act. We wish to make you aware that you have the right to have incorrect data rectified or personal data erased, provided there is no legal obligation to retain such data.

If you wish to contact our data protection officer, please send an e-mail to datenschutz@sigma-pa.de.
